Bone Folders

Bone Folders

thingiverse

I've got a set of bone folders here, one with sharp edges and another with slightly rounded over edges. When I misplaced my previous bone folder during a move, I didn't feel the need to buy a new one for $10, and besides, 40 minutes to print both is better than two days to wait for one in the mail (I still love you Amazon Prime). For those unfamiliar, a bone folder is simply a tool made from bone or plastic designed to make sharp folds and creases in paper while minimizing finger fatigue, often used in book binding and origami due to the large amount of paper folding in both of these crafts. In addition to STL files for both folders, the download includes Autodesk Inventor IPT files needed to edit the models should anyone choose to do so (I welcome you to make them suit your needs!). Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: It doesn't matter. Supports: Yes Resolution: Whatever you see fit, although too low may leave an uneven finish on paper. Infill: It doesn't matter. Notes: I printed in whatever PLA I had on hand at 60% infill because I like to really work my folders hard. I laid them on the bed lengthwise at a 45-degree angle, as is seen in one of the pictures, with a support underneath the elevated areas.
