A fossilized bone fragment measuring roughly one inch in length was discovered on the Moses Brown archaeological site located in Providence, Rhode Island. The excavation trench where the find was made is designated as MB003. Context number 10 provides a framework for understanding the artifact's significance within the site. The bone piece appears to be a partial tooth, suggesting that it was once part of a larger dental structure. Preliminary analysis suggests that this fragment could belong to either a sheep or goat premolar. However, determining the age of the animal from which this bone originated is not currently possible with available data. Interestingly, another bone fragment was found within the same archaeological context. Further research may uncover more information about these findings and their relevance to the Moses Brown Site.
