This part enables the BondTech Universal Extruder (3mm) to mount directly onto the CR-10 5S. With this installation, the CR-10 5S gains the capability to use 3mm filament in addition to its existing 1.75mm system for the standard CR-10 5S setup. If you're looking to upgrade just the extruder, consider using the BondTech Universal Extruder with the 1.75mm system on your CR-10 5S first. The mount attaches to the plate via the same four holes used by the original extruder. The extruder itself remains in place through a combination of gravity and the slot that accommodates wiring connections. To insert the BondTech Universal Extruder into its mount, position it at an angle and apply gentle force; once inserted, it will not easily come out. It's essential to remember that you'll still need to follow specific instructions for installing the mount correctly. This includes taking note of the reversed pins on your CR-10 5S for the BondTech Universal Extruder setup and adjusting your Cura profile to accommodate the non-standard 3mm filament.
