Bondtech Mini for Wanhao I3 (no brass inserts needed)
thingiverse
This remix of the Bontech Mini has been modified to eliminate the need for brass inserts altogether. Regular nuts now take their place, making the build process more accessible. To achieve this, I imported the STL files into TinkerCad and added metric nut holes, although I didn't test the design thoroughly due to being away from home without access to measurements. The holes' size was estimated based on guesswork alone. Printing has begun and I'll receive the extruder parts from Aliexpress in about a month. If the hole sizes turn out too large, a small amount of glue can secure the nuts in place; conversely, if they're too small, heating and pressing the nuts into position might be necessary. The goal is to have the holes sized just right so that the nuts drop in smoothly without spinning when the screws are tightened.
