Bondtech Direct Drive, E3d, Volcano
thingiverse
I created this for myself because these are the parts and the design I wanted to incorporate into my project. This design sits directly on a CR-10s chassis without modification needed to the x/z axis switch. Unlike other bondtech extruders, this one keeps your 40X40 stepper motor intact. The E3d hotend fits directly into the bondtech extruder with ease. Clearance for the fan is set to the volcano hotend, requiring some alteration if you're not using that specific model. The 40mm hotend cooling fan attaches with four 3mm screws and the 5015 blower with two 3mm screws. This rig has significantly improved my print quality while allowing me to use additional filament types like TPU and Nylon with ease. More photos will follow as I finalize the post-processing of this project. Previous versions worked perfectly, and these new photos reflect the cosmetic enhancements I've made to the design. Please leave comments if you think I can improve on the design - a modular approach would be ideal.
