Bondtech BMG to Mosquito mount with integrated filament guide for Railcore
thingiverse
I crafted a mount for the railcore by employing a slice engineering mosquito (magnum or original) equipped with an integrated ptfe tube guide. This design is specifically intended to be used in conjunction with the 713maker aluminum carriage, although it may also work with 3d printed versions included in the kit, which have not been thoroughly tested. There are two distinct iterations of the mount: V2 - attaches to the top of the mosquito via M2.5 screws, requiring 4x M3 threaded heat inserts with a ~5.15mm od, such as those available on Amazon (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077CJV3Z9). V3 - necessitates modification to the mosquito heatsink, involving drilling out the two top fan mount holes to 3mm to accommodate 2x M3x30mm screws that can pass through it and into the brass heat inserts behind. This version aims to provide maximum rigidity by utilizing 6x M3 threaded heat inserts. To achieve optimal stiffness, these parts should be printed using a filament with carbon fiber (I utilize pc cf), with at least four perimeters and dense infill. If requested, I will provide .step files or native solidworks models of this design.
