Bondtech BMG direct drive extruder for GRR Neo
thingiverse
This is an adapter for the GRR Neo designed to mount a left-handed Bondtech BMG as a direct drive extruder onto Kakadu's ingenious Reprap Neo e3d v6 hotend upgrade (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:971035).\r\n\r\nIn addition to one printout of each part, you will need:\r\n1x M3x16 screw for assembling the two parts of the adapter_extruder together\r\n3x M3x25 screw and 3x M3 hexagon nut for mounting the adapter_extruder onto the base\r\n2 M4x10 screws for the filament guide\r\na small piece of bowden tubing (a little more if you use the E3D v6 lite)\r\na left-handed Bondtech BMG extruder\r\na small-sized NEMA 17 stepper motor (I used one with 42x42x20mm from https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/nema-17-bipolar-18deg-13ncm-184ozin-1a-35v-42x42x20mm-4-wires-17hs08-1004s.html?search=42x42x2 )\renough cable to connect the stepper motor\r\n\r\nAssembly is pretty straightforward, I hope. Be sure to pay attention to the bowden length; it needs to protrude about 6mm into the extruder. Cut it with enough slack to reach that point.\r\n\r\nOn my printer, this upgrade significantly improved print quality compared to the original bowden design. Enjoy printing!
