Bondage ice lock (model 1)
cults3d
This is a straightforward and effective, completely 3D printed, ice lock. It functions in a simple manner: 1. Assemble it as shown on Photo B and insert an ice cube. 2. Place the cover on top (Photo C). At this point, the lock is secure and can only be opened after the ice has fully melted. The cover prevents removal of the ice by featuring latches that can be pressed from inside (with a screwdriver or some thin object, such as a pen). Of course, it's made of plastic - but it's strong enough to provide plenty of fun. It's excellent for dropping keys or something similar. If you want to use it in this way, the inner part should be permanently attached and keys should fall down with the larger part because it is heavier. This project was created for a 30x30x30mm cube. With a 30x30x23mm cube and room temperature at 24°C, it takes about two hours to open! There are no additional parts required - simply print these three details and you'll have a fully functional ice lock.
