I liked the design of Leonrsmln31's MMU2S mods for the Prusa Bondtech extruder. But I just like repurposing hardware where possible, so I tweaked the design of the top plate to fit the original heat set that comes with the MMU2s Upgrade. The added advantage is that the bowden coupler doesn't screw directly in plastic making it more durable Two versions are available: 1. A shorter spout more inline with Prusa's design philosophy 2. A longer spout more inline with Leon's design philosophy. In theory either works fine. I am using the shorter one because I think less plastic on plastic friction is a bit better if your prints are materially accurate. If you think your printer isn't dialed in or you want to print at a higher layer height, I recommend the longer one. I also printed mine out of ABS at .15 layer height, 4 perimeters, 9 top layers, 7 bottom layers, 40% infill. This is inline with other recommended print settings for heated enclosure printers, but if you can use PETG or PLA for this print as it is non load bearing. Instructions: 1. Remove heat set insert from the initial part. The best way to do this is using an M5 bolt and a soldering iron. I turned my soldering iron up to the max as there is a lot of mass to heat, use pillars to pull on the m5 bolt to remove the insert. 2. Insert Heat set insert into printed part. Installs similarly to any other heat set insert. 3. Install bowden coupler 4. Check filament clearance. Depending on your print you may need to clean up the filament hole. I recommend using a 2mm drill bit or similar and by hand increasing the clearance on the heat set side. The parts have a minor chamfer but doing this will help ease the filament into constraint.
