To create a multicolored design without the need for additional painting, follow these steps: First, pause the print once the flat part of the surface is complete and swap out the filament for a different color. Alternatively, if you're using software like Simplify3D, you can split the print into two distinct sections - one up to layer 26 or 4mm in height (the exact number may vary depending on your chosen layer height, which should be set at 0.15mm), and the other from layer 27 or 4.01mm in height. We successfully printed this design on our Z500 prototype 3D printer using PLA filament and a 0.15mm layer height.
