The CRJ1000, a detailed replica based on accurate dimensions, offers realistic textures and materials. It features numerous animatable aspects like turbines, landing gear, gear doors, ailerons, inboard flaps, and outboard flaps. Available in multiple formats for diverse applications, Bombardier unveiled the CRJ1000's development on 19 February 2007 as an extended version of the CRJ900X with up to 100 seats. The first production flight took place on 28 July 2009 in Montreal, with a planned entry into service for Q1 2010. As of March 2014, 70 aircraft were delivered to airlines and 36 remained unfilled.
