The CRJ1000 is an accurately-scaled model featuring authentic textures and materials. On February 19, 2007, Bombardier announced the development of the CRJ1000, formerly known as CRJ900X, as a stretched version of the CRJ900 with seating capacity up to 100 passengers. The first production flight occurred on July 28, 2009, in Montreal; its entry into service was anticipated for Q1 2010. As of March 2014, a total of 70 aircraft were delivered to airlines and 36 unfilled orders remained.
