Bolt Puzzle

This is a puzzle bolt/desk junk thing. It looks like a big, normal bolt, but the nut is held on with a left hand thread that is hidden.

To assemble, print all parts, but then glue the joiner into the nut so that it is a single piece. The joiner/nut assembly then screws left handed into the bolt.

I printed mine in white PLA and painted it. I printed it with high infill (maybe even 100%), as I expect it to take a hammering as people pick it up and try to undo it and actually tighten it.

Paint is a base of DecoArt Obsidian, which is a very dark grey metalic, then DecoArt Sterling Silver is drybrushed over the top.

Designed in Tinkercad, so threads aren't great - I started with ISO standards, but the thread generator there isn't perfect. I also didn't quite line up the threads where they join at the nut, which could be improved. Still, was fun to do and I leant a lot.
