Bolt Halo Fidget Spinner - Wingnut2k #8
thingiverse
I decided to create a novel style of spinner that hasn't been seen on this site before. The central ring is secured by four screws. This model utilizes four 1/4-inch nuts, four 1/4-by-1-inch screws, and one 608 bearing. This design is slightly thicker and heavier than a standard spinner, but it remains manageable. The central ring stands at 9 millimeters tall (the ball bearing is 7 millimeters). The ring features three recessed areas where the screws are inserted to hold it in place securely. The outer piece measures 11.5 millimeters in thickness, which ensures that screw heads don't protrude too far. This design spans approximately 3 inches in diameter. It consists of two separate pieces, allowing you to print the central ring in a different color if desired. Edit: I've uploaded models that use #10 screws instead of 1/4-inch screws, resulting in an overall thickness of 9 millimeters. Printer Settings: - Printer Brand: PowerSpec - Printer: PowerSpec 3D Pro - Rafts: No - Supports: Yes - Resolution: 0.2mm - Infill: 100% - Notes: I chose to use supports because the screw holes measure only 6.5 millimeters in diameter. I haven't tested it without supports yet.
