Bolt Halo Fidget Spinner - Wingnut2k #7
thingiverse
I wanted to create a new style of spinner that hadn't been seen on this site before. The center ring stays firmly in place thanks to three screws. This design uses three 1/4-inch nuts, three 1/4-by-1-inch screws, and one 608 bearing. This style is a bit thicker and heavier than standard spinners but remains easily manageable. The center ring measures 9mm tall (the ball bearing is 7mm). Three recessed areas in the ring allow the screws to fit snugly inside, helping hold the center ring securely in place. The outer piece is 11.5mm thick, preventing screw heads from protruding too far. This design has a diameter of approximately 3 inches. It's constructed in two separate pieces, allowing you to print the center ring in a different color if desired. Edit: I've uploaded models that use #10 screws instead of 1/4-inch screws, resulting in an overall thickness of 9mm. Print Settings: Printer Brand: PowerSpec Printer: PowerSpec 3D Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: I chose to use supports because the screw holes are only 6.5mm in diameter. I haven't tried printing without supports yet.
