Bolt Halo Fidget Spinner - Wingnut2k #2
thingiverse
I decided to invent a fresh style of spinner that I hadn't seen on this site before. The central ring stays put due to five secure screws. This design relies on (5) 1/4" nuts, (5) 1/4"x1" screws, and one 608 bearing. This model is slightly thicker and heavier than a standard spinner, but it remains easy to handle. The center ring measures 9mm in height, while the ball bearing stands at 7mm tall. Five recessed areas on the ring provide space for the screws to fit into and keep the central ring firmly in place. The outer piece is 11.5mm thick, ensuring that screw heads don't protrude too far. This design has a diameter of approximately 3 inches. It's divided into two pieces, allowing you to print the center ring in a different color if desired. Edit: I've uploaded models using #10 screws instead of the original 1/4" screws. This change reduces the spinner's overall thickness to 9mm. Print Settings: Printer Brand: PowerSpec Printer: PowerSpec 3D Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 50% Notes: I opted for supports because the screw hole diameter is only 6.5mm. I haven't tested it without supports yet.
