Finally, you can ditch GM's horrible OnStar completely from your life. # Info For the 2017 - 2019 Bolt EV ## Revisions * r1 - Initial release ## Variations * Solid - Plain solid fill piece * LCD - Square opening for [128x32 oled module](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CDN5PSJ) # Instructions ## Printing Recommended Black ABS, high infill to reduce chance of melting in the hot sun. ## Finishing * Sand front flat with 100 grit sand paper and gently round edges. * Sand front smooth with 220 grit sand paper ## Installing * Turn vehicle off * Pull OnStar fuse from fuse box * *Gently* Pull downward on the front (either side) of the gray plastic module the Onstar buttons are in. * Unplug both cables * Gently release the OnStar buttons from the frame (be gentle! Don't break the clips!) * Install the filler piece * Reinstall everything into vehicle ## Onstar alternatives All it really takes is a small ESP32 microcontroller and an LTE connection to do what OnStar does.
