Bolt Action Pen
thingiverse
It can be tough to discuss 3D printing with individuals unfamiliar with the technology. Having a personal item that explains the entire process can be really helpful and also makes for an awesome conversation starter. I mean, pens are pretty cheap and somewhat functional, but a 3D printed pen (especially a bolt-action one) is seriously cool in my opinion. I even used it on my exams! Feel free to print your pen with whatever color plastic you want that matches the ink color! Just remember to use filament with excellent layer adhesion (most people won't need to worry about this). A small note: there's a tiny hole in the pen body near the tip, which lets you check how much ink is left in the cartridge. Once you can no longer see ink through the hole, it's time to switch out your cartridge.
