Bolt Action Artillery Base
thingiverse
This is a versatile model base I designed specifically for Bolt Action Artillery models. The standout feature is the "Firing Arc Gauge" seamlessly integrated into it. By positioning the breech of the gun model directly over the elevated disc at the center of the base, with the barrel aligned to the notch in front of the base, you can quickly aim down the sloping angles to determine if your target falls within the arc. Available in three sizes, this design accommodates a variety of artillery pieces. The Large Arc version features a smaller base paired with a larger arc triangle, making it easier to measure arc limits for taller guns. Whether you're playing a specific game or need a custom base for your artillery model, you can easily scale any of the three options to find the ideal size for your needs. Firing arcs are crucial in games where a 90-degree field of fire applies, and this versatile base helps ensure that your models accurately represent their capabilities on the battlefield. The images showcase the small base paired with a 75mm field gun and 37mm Bofors AT gun in Polish service, demonstrating its versatility and practicality.
