Bokeh Stencil Holder
thingiverse
A clever accessory that attaches lasercut stencils directly to a lens for artistic bokeh effects. The current iteration comes with one holder designed specifically for the Sony SE 85mm 1.8 and another for the Nikkor 50mm 1.8, both attaching securely to the lens hood mount. The SCAD file is fully customizable with numerous parameters, making it possible to adapt it to fit most lens mounts. Note: For a universal Lens-Cap version and a tool to generate 3D printable bokeh stencils, visit my remix on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3480144. When experimenting with new lenses, I recommend printing only the Mount for rapid prototyping purposes. This will allow you to test different values without wasting material. Before redesigning this file, take some time to read online tutorials that explain how to achieve the best effects and determine the optimal stencil size for your specific lens/f-number combination. The stencils come in three versions: square, circle, and octagon cutouts. This versatility allows you to rotate the stencils in four, eight, or any direction you prefer.
