Bohrschablone für Terassendielen / drilling template for decking boards
thingiverse
A precise drilling template for decking boards measures 145 mm in width and 20 to 25 mm in thickness. The spacing between holes amounts to 100 mm. This carefully designed bridge ensures a consistent 3-4 mm gap between the planks, while the U-shape perfectly centers itself on 40 mm wide construction timbers placed beneath the decking. To begin installation, print as many templates as there are rows of construction timbers beneath the terrace. Next, lay down the floorboards and position the drilling template accordingly. Apply gentle pressure to existing floorboards, ensuring a secure fit, and mark the desired screw locations with a fine-tip pen through the holes. Once the marks are made, carefully lift off the template and set it aside, positioning it offset to one side of the board to maintain precise spacing. With this final step in place, you're ready to pre-drill and securely fasten the decking boards into position. Utilizing two cordless screwdrivers for drilling and screwing significantly streamlines the installation process, allowing you to complete your project efficiently and with precision.
