Bogie well wagon for carrying a mini digger. 0-16.5 model
thingiverse
Following difficulties with a Road/Rail adaptation for the eBay Mini Digger (Published earlier), I designed and printed this wagon based on a type used on various narrow gauge lines. (including the Ffestiniog) The trick is to get the digger, including its arm, under the line's loading gauge. (Mine is fairly generous) I designed this wagon to run on a spare pair of Ratio (00 gauge) bogies with only the bogie wheels, sides and stretcher, pivoting on a 2mm screw. The deck is a steel plate cut from the case of a redundant PC CD drive to add a bit of weight. This was painted black and then scuffed to represent the wear caused by driving the digger on and off. The end decks are clad with timber (coffee stirrers) pained with thin grot. The chunks of timber to help the digger climb on and off are cut from coffee stirrers and tied down at one end. The tie-down loops along the sideframe are bent from MIG welding wire and superglued into holes drilled a suitable size.
