This allowed flights above 10,000 feet, a feat made possible by its four-engine design evolved from the B-17C bomber. Sharing identical wings, tail, stabilizers, engines, and landing gear with the B-17C, the Boeing 307 featured a low drag fuselage for efficient pressurization. Its spacious, 12 feet wide cabin epitomized luxury in 1935. Capable of cruising at 20,000 feet, this innovative aircraft reduced weather delays and flew above inclement conditions.
