Boeing B-50 Superfortress The most powerful bomber of World War II made headlines for being the first aircraft to conduct a nuclear bombing mission. This legendary plane has a Russian twin, the Tu-4, which was built by the Soviet Union through unauthorized reverse engineering after several B-29s landed on Russian soil following raids over Japan. As a multi-role aircraft, the B-29 served as a bomber, naval attacker, reconnaissance plane, tanker, transport, test bed, and even meteorological surveyor. Its capabilities were truly unmatched. After World War II, a re-powered version with an enlarged tail called the B-50 (previously known as the B-29D) was introduced by the USAF, awaiting replacement by new jet bombers like the B-47. If you have access to detailed blueprints of the B-50, I'd be happy to create this variant. Unfortunately, most available drawings are low-resolution and often feature incorrect proportions. Specifically, I'm searching for accurate images of the new engines' design. This model is offered in two versions: one with propeller blades removed and another without propellers altogether, allowing you to print them separately and glue them on as shown in the provided images. The scale model is 1:100, printed at 1:285 using a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12 mm layers on an Ender3 printer, managed with PrusaSlicer 2.0 software. I opted for the two-part version to minimize support requirements; with some sandpaper work, the glued joints are nearly invisible after painting. Feel free to attempt adding machine gun barrels by gluing short PLA scraps onto the model.
