The HP version includes a detailed cockpit, radio room, bomb bay, navigator station, and waist gunners' station, as well as bombs. Both versions have detailed landing gears with the HP version also having intricate engines. The models are available in various formats. Developed in the 1930s, the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a heavy bomber aircraft used primarily by the USAAF for strategic bombing during WWII against German targets. The final version of the Flying Fortress was the B-17G, incorporating all changes from its predecessor, the B-17F.
