The model originated from a sketch created in Sketchup 13, which was later converted to multiple 3D formats. Its native format remains .skp, while the associated scene utilizes 3ds Max 2016 with Vray 3.00 for rendering. Commissioned by Cesey aka Air Transat, this project involved adapting an original AC 762 created by WilliamT. Based on a vintage Boeing design, the aircraft in question, the 767-200, entered service with United Airlines in 1982 and became prominent on mainline U.S. carriers serving domestic routes connecting major hubs such as Los Angeles to Washington. One notable achievement was its deployment on transatlantic ETOPS flights, beginning with TWA on February 1, 1985, under the stricter diversion rules that allowed flights over open ocean. With a total production run of 128 aircraft, it garnered significant usage for passenger and freighter conversions alike in airline operations by July 2012. During its time, competitors emerged in the form of the Airbus A300 and A310 models. Ultimately, due to being surpassed by the more versatile extended-range 767-200ER, the variant ceased production in late 1980s. Later, however, early versions received extended-range upgrades for added capability. Boeing took a proactive approach to revive demand for this aircraft, initiating conversions to the Special Freighter specification of the 767-200 in 1998, designed specifically for cargo usage. Israel Aerospace Industries later secured licensing rights to execute these conversions since 2005, marking a revival in commercial value through enhanced safety features such as added freight monitoring equipment and a reinforced main deck floor equipped with a new side cargo door for streamlined transportation operations.
