Crafted almost to size, this model features authentic materials and textures in various airline liveries. It boasts animateable components such as landing gear, doors, rudder, elevators, ailerons, flaps, engine turbines, beacon and navigation lights. Available in several formats, the 757 was developed by Boeing in the early 1980s to replace ageing 727s. As a fuel-efficient two-engine plane, it could transport 180 passengers over 5,000 miles non-stop and was favored by airlines due to its single-aisle layout. The first 757-200 version began service with Eastern Air Lines in 1983.
