The Boeing 747: An Iconic Masterpiece of Aviation Innovation. This majestic aircraft, known as the "Jumbo Jet," has undergone a revolutionary transformation with the introduction of the 747-8, its latest and most advanced iteration. My 3D printable rendition brings this marvel to life, showcasing unparalleled attention to detail and precision craftsmanship. Sixty iterations, eight months of tireless work, and countless hours of dedication have gone into perfecting every aspect of this scale model. The fully assembled version stands at an impressive 556mm (X) * 622mm (Y) * 150mm (Z), mirroring the original aircraft with a remarkable 1:137 scale accuracy. UPDATE 12/20/2018: I have now incorporated functional gear into this design, requiring all parts bearing the word "gear" to be printed separately. These components include the left and right wing supporting structures, inner sections, gear assemblies (three in total), nose gear assembly (single piece), and rear bogies (two of each type). Refer to the print instructions section for comprehensive guidance. UPDATE 6/20/2018: A sturdy stand has been added to this model, allowing it to be displayed with pride. Although still in development, this feature promises to elevate your display experience. Two versions are available: the "Short Stand" and the "Tall Stand," each designed to showcase the aircraft in a nose-up position. The cradle component is essential for securing the model on the stand. This design boasts significantly improved print-ability compared to previous iterations, featuring numerous alignment pins, flat mating surfaces, and carefully sliced sections. Two versions of the aircraft are included: the standard 747-8 with no livery or embellishments, and a second version featuring the iconic Lufthansa livery with debossed company name and logo. A fully assembled model is provided for reference purposes, but it's not recommended for printing due to its complexity. I'm currently working on building my own model, which will be shared as soon as all parts are printed.
