With seating configurations in single, two, or three classes, it could carry between 366 to 550 passengers. Introduced alongside the DC-10 and L-1011 Tristar, the 747 distinguished itself as the largest airliner for 37 years. The series continued with -200, -300, -400 versions, and now the latest -800 or -8I version. With a cruising range of over 5,000 miles and a speed of over 550 mph at 35,000 feet, this iconic aircraft boasts improving numbers in cruise, payload, and range with newer versions.
