The initial Boeing 747-100, the first jumbo jet, carried close to 500 passengers and debuted in 1969, serving from 1970. For 37 years, it held the record for passenger seating until surpassed by the A380. As the pioneer of Boeing's 747 family, it accommodated up to 550 passengers in a single class arrangement, being over twice the size of its predecessor, the Boeing 707-320. With two or three classes, it could carry 452 or 366 passengers respectively. Introduced alongside the Douglas DC-10 and Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, the 747 stood out due to its size and was unmatched for 37 years. The series evolved with -200, -300, -400 versions, and most recently, the -800 or -8I version. Capable of a cruising range over 5000 miles and a speed over 550 mph at 35,000 feet, newer versions offer improved payload, range, and cruise performance. This highly detailed model is fully textured, features animateable parts like flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, landing gear, doors, and turbines, and is available in multiple formats for easy downloading.
