The initial model of the 737, designated as the 737-100, was first introduced in 1965. It entered service with Lufthansa in February of 1968 and went on to become the smallest variant within the 737 family. A total of 30 Boeing 737-100s were ordered by airlines and ultimately delivered; however, the last commercial delivery took place nearly four decades ago on October 31st of 1969 to Malaysia-Singapore Airlines. At present, no operational 737-100 aircraft remain in service worldwide.
