The Boeing 737 is an efficient and reliable twinjet narrow-body airliner engineered for short- to medium-range flights. Its origins date back to 1965 when the initial model, the 737-100, was first launched into production. The aircraft made its maiden voyage in Lufthansa's fleet on February 7, 1968. With a total of just 30 737-100s ordered and delivered over the years, this variant holds the title as the smallest among the 737 series. Its last commercial delivery took place on October 31, 1969, marking the end of its active service life with Malaysia-Singapore Airlines. Interestingly, the very first prototype operated by NASA has since been retired for over three decades after its initial flight and now proudly rests at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
