It comes in nine diverse formats and multiple airline liveries. The Boeing 727 is a mid-size narrow-body three-engine jet aircraft that was widely used on domestic routes and short/medium international ones. Both passenger, freighter, and convertible versions of the 727 were manufactured, with the 727-200 being an extended version of the original 727-100; a ten-foot fuselage section was added in front of and behind the wings for increased capacity.
