The Boeing 727 model, nearly matching its actual dimensions, features a fully textured surface and animatable parts such as flaps, ailerons, landing gear, landing gear doors, elevators, and rudder. It is available in 11 formats and different airline liveries. The mid-size narrow-body aircraft with three engines was primarily used for domestic routes but also on short- and medium-range international trips. Both passenger and freight versions were built, with the initial 727-100 launched in 1960 and entering service in 1964. It remained a popular choice among passenger airlines and cargo carriers until the 1990s.
