This high-poly model closely resembles the actual aircraft and includes intricate details such as radio antennas, pitot tubes, and finished landing gear. It comes with textures for all materials and is animatable, featuring moveable parts like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Suitable for in-flight animations, videos or simulations, it can also populate airport scenes. Available in several formats, this model represents the Boeing 717-200, a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced by Boeing after acquiring McDonnell Douglas. With a smaller capacity of 106 to 134 passengers, it had a standard range of 1430 nautical miles, which increased to 2060 nmi with auxiliary tanks in the high gross weight version. The Boeing 717 replaced old KC-135 tankers and was in production from 1999 until 2006; however, reduced sales due to competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets eventually led to canceled orders and the closure of production. Powered by a pair of 20,000 or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C/JT8D-219 engines, the Boeing 717 was the last narrow single-aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
