This high-resolution, near-scale model features intricate details such as radio antennas and pitot tubes on its exterior, with landing gear boasting moderate levels of detailing too. Textured fully and including all materials and textures, this model allows for animation of numerous parts including ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Ideal for in-flight animations, videos, or simulations, it can also be used to populate an airport scene. Available in multiple formats, this model is a replica of the Boeing 717-200 - a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced post-Boeing's acquisition of McDonnell Douglas. Designed for smaller capacities of 106 to 134 passengers, it had a standard range of 1430 nautical miles, while the ER or high gross weight version extended that to 2060 nmi through auxiliary tanks. The model number 717 was reused from old KC-135 tankers, and it was in production from 1999 until 2006. However, competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets caused reduced sales, leading to many order cancellations and ultimately closing the production line. Powered by pairs of 20,000 lbf or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C or JT8D-219 engines, the Boeing 717 was the final narrow single-aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
