This high-quality, near-scale model features detailed exterior elements such as radio antennas and pitot tubes, along with well-finished landing gear. It comes fully textured and includes animateable parts like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Perfect for in-flight animations or simulations, this model can also be used to populate airport scenes. Available in various formats, it's based on the Boeing 717-200 variant of the McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced after Boeing acquired McDonnell Douglas. With a smaller capacity of 106 to 134 passengers and a standard range of 1,430 nautical miles (up to 2,060 nm with auxiliary tanks), it was powered by either 20,000 lbf or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C/JT8D-219 engines. Despite being the last narrow single aisle jetliner produced by Boeing, sales were affected by competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets, ultimately leading to production closure in 2006.
