This high-poly model is almost to scale, with dimensions within a couple of percent of the real aircraft. Featuring a detailed exterior including radio antennas and pitot tubes, it also has finished landing gear with moderate detail. The fully textured model comes with all materials and textures and offers animatable features like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Suitable for in-flight animations, video, or simulation, it can also populate airport scenes. Available in various formats, this model represents the Boeing 717-200, a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced after Boeing acquired McDonnell Douglas. Designed for smaller capacities of 106 to 134 passengers and with a maximum capacity of 134 based on passenger exit capability, the standard version had a range of 1430 nautical miles, while the high gross weight variant (ER) featured two auxiliary tanks for a range of 2060 nmi. The Boeing 717 model number was reused from old KC-135 tankers. In production from 1999 to 2006, the 717 faced reduced sales due to competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets, leading to the cancellation of many orders and eventual closure of productions. Powered by a pair of 20,000 lbf or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C or JT8D-219 engines, the Boeing 717 was the last narrow single-aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
