The high poly model, nearly at scale, has detailed exteriors with radio antennas and pitot tubes, and moderately finished landing gear. It comes textured, complete with materials and textures, and features animateable parts such as ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Ideal for in-flight animations, videos, or simulations, it can also be used to populate airport scenes. Available in several formats, this model represents the Boeing 717-200, a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced post-Boeing's acquisition of McDonnell Douglas. This smaller capacity aircraft (106 to 134 passengers) had a standard range of 1430 nautical miles and an extended-range version with auxiliary tanks reaching 2060 nmi. The Boeing 717 model number was reused from old KC-135 tankers. In production from 1999 to 2006, it faced competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets, which led to reduced sales and eventual closure of production. Powered by 20,000 or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C/JT8D-219 engines, the Boeing 717 was the last narrow single aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
