It's available in multiple formats and is based on the Boeing 717-200 variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners. With a capacity of 106 to 134 passengers and a range of up to 2060 nautical miles, this aircraft was powered by JT8D-217C or JT8D-219 engines. Despite its popularity, production ceased in 2006 due to competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets.
