The high-poly model closely mirrors real dimensions, featuring intricate exterior details such as radio antennas and pitot tubes, while landing gear also boasts moderate detail. The model comes fully textured with all materials and textures included, and offers animatable features including ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. It's suitable for in-flight animations, video or simulation use and can be used to populate airport scenes. Available in multiple formats, this model is based on the Boeing 717-200 - a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced after Boeing's acquisition of McDonnell Douglas. Designed for smaller capacities (106 to 134 passengers), it had a standard range of 1,430 nautical miles, with the high gross weight version reaching 2,060 nmi due to two auxiliary tanks. The 717 model number was reused from old KC-135 tankers. Produced from 1999 until 2006, this aircraft faced decreased sales due to competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets, leading to the cancellation of many orders and ultimately, production closure. Powered by 20,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-219 engines, the Boeing 717 was the last narrow single aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
