Available in several formats, this model represents the Boeing 717-200, a variant of McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced after Boeing acquired McDonnell Douglas. With seating capacity between 106 to 134 passengers and a range of 1430 nmi (standard version) or 2060 nmi (ER/high gross weight version), it was in production from 1999 until 2006, powered by a pair of 20,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-219 engines. However, its production was halted due to reduced sales, primarily because of competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets. It was the last narrow single aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
