Available in several formats, it represents the Boeing 717-200 - a variant of the McDonnell Douglas MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced post-Boeing acquisition. With a seating capacity of 106 to 134 passengers and a standard range of 1430 nautical miles, this aircraft's ER or high gross weight version featured two auxiliary tanks for an extended range of 2060 nautical miles. However, competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets led to reduced sales and eventual cancellation of orders, ultimately ceasing production in 2006.
