This high-poly model is almost at scale and within a couple of percent of real dimensions. It features an intricate exterior, including radio antennas and pitot tubes, and detailed landing gear. The model comes with textures and materials, as well as animatable parts like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Suitable for in-flight animations or simulations, it can also be used to populate airport scenes. Available in various formats, this model represents the Boeing 717-200 - a variant of McDonnell Douglas' MD-95 jet commercial airliners produced after Boeing's acquisition. With a capacity of 106 to 134 passengers, it boasted a standard range of 1430 nautical miles and an extended range version with auxiliary tanks reaching 2060 nmi. However, competition from Embraer and Bombardier Regional Jets led to reduced sales, order cancellations, and eventually, production closure. Powered by 20,000 lbf or 21,000 lbf thrust JT8D-217C or JT8D-219 engines respectively, the Boeing 717 was the last narrow single aisle jetliner produced by Boeing.
