The Boeing 707 is a mid-size, long-range jet airliner with a narrow body, powered by four engines. Produced from 1958 to 1979, it was the first jet airliner built by Boeing, accommodating anywhere from 140 to 189 passengers at its capacity. Domestic, transcontinental and transatlantic flights all used the 707 model, along with cargo and military applications. As a later variation of the Boeing 707 series, the 707-320 model featured larger wings for increased fuel capacity and improved range as a true transoceanic aircraft, complete with large cargo doors for dual-purpose use.
