Body mounts for Tamiya DT-02 RC car chassis

Human: Body mounts designed specifically for non-buggy bodies on the Tamiya DT-02 chassis accommodate most truck and car bodies. My six-year-old son wanted to convert his Desert Gator into a truck and after testing various body shells we discovered that the Arrma Granite truck body has the ideal width and wheelbase for the DT-02, making it an excellent choice. The printed body posts are detachable, allowing for easy replacement in case they break or need adjustment. To ensure maximum durability, I used 100% infill when printing them. Despite their surprising strength, they might be even more robust if printed horizontally; however, I haven't had to test that yet. I opted for PLA and coarse/quick settings in case multiple prints were necessary, but fortunately, it worked out on the first try, resulting in an acceptable appearance. These mounts are designed to be hidden under the body anyway. So far, everything has held together remarkably well despite significant abuse. Update: May 6, 2018 - After a high-speed crash into a tree several feet off the ground, three of the posts broke (the impact was severe enough that one front tire came loose from its rim). I reprinted using flexible TPU filament (specifically this brand: https://amzn.to/2rmn0xI), and what a significant difference it made. We've had several spectacular crashes since then, including some requiring replacement of other parts, and the posts have held strong. At present, I lack experience with other flexible filaments. This particular one feels somewhat rigid - more so than a Tamiya tire, for instance.
