I engineered this motor mount specifically for use in a bodied foam board rc plane with a 2.5 inch inner dimension. It attaches securely by sliding over a 3/16 inch foam board horizontal, and between the side pieces. I've found it to be remarkably durable, handling numerous nose-down landings with ease. To ensure optimal results, print the mounting face down as shown in the illustration. For best performance, I recommend drilling the mounting holes to your tap drill size; I personally use M3 screws.
