Boden Tube Guide - Ender 5 - Factory Bolt
thingiverse
This is a custom part I've designed specifically for the Creality Ender 5 3D printer, which bolts directly onto the extruder motor using the factory bolt. During printing, I noticed that the long bodied tube on this machine tends to bend significantly near the extruder motor. This attachment should help keep the tube remarkably straight in that area and prevent any additional strain on filament movement. The clip is also spacious enough to accommodate hot end wires for neat cable management. Remove the left-most factory bolt and washer from the bracket above the extruder motor. Insert the bolt with washer through the opening and into the recess on the printed part, then hand tighten the bolt back into place on the machine. Position the bodied tube and cables within the clip to keep the bodied tube as straight as possible. A future iteration may extend the clip portion a few millimeters to the left.
