I'm looking at the Met's collection, and I'm focusing on a Tang dynasty sculpture that really stands out to me - it's the 21st cave painting of a bodhisattva's head in sandstone. This particular piece is one of the most striking examples of Buddhist art from this time period, and its sheer size and intricacy are awe-inspiring.
