BOBOVR M3 Replacement Battery Dock

BOBOVR M3 Replacement Battery Dock

thingiverse

A fully fitted replacement battery dock for the BOBOVR M3 (and other similar straps that uses the same battery dock) with a backing for velcro strapping any decently sized / weighted powerbank.Apart from being able to strap any powerbank of your choice, you can also route any excess cables you have in between the powerbank and the backing. However, you'll need to put some rubber or foam strips in the given slot to offset the powerbank from the backing. The design uses velcro straps to secure the replacement dock to the headstrap as I do not trust the three screws to support the weight of the powerbank and the major inertial movements involved while using the headset. If you'd like, you can modify the model to enable the usage of screws, but be warned that it may take multiple prints before you can get the proper depth of the screws right.Use the Oriented file to print directly if you don't want to do any editing. If you do want to edit and print after, use the other file and print laying flat as shown in the images. Angle offset of dock's flat surface to the backing is 12.14 degrees. After importing, rotate the model in 90 degree intervals, then offset one of the axis by 12.14 degrees to lay it flat to the print bed.Powerbank used in example: Anker 10000mah 30W (A1256)Cable used in example: Ugreen 90 degree 100W cableNoteThe 100W cable is unnecessary and very thick. Any cable above 30W is more than sufficient for the Quest 3.
